Band,
A.k.a. The Clique Camarilla
The Clique was first conceived by Wayne Cooley (2) in 1966 and, after acquiring some equipment and recruiting some friends, became a reality in early 1967 when the original Clique was formed. The original members were Wayne (organ), Gary Jensen (guitar), DeVon Porter (percussion), and Brent Bulloch (bass). Their first paying performance was at the roller rink in Cedar City in May, 1967. Early in 1968, Brent withdrew and was replaced by Pat Creamer (bass). Randy Cram was also added at that time. Lance Whetten (percussion) was recruited when Devon withdrew in early spring 1968. Later that spring, Randy left the group and Danny Leavitt (guitar) joined the group in July. Late spring of 1969 Pat left the group and was replaced by Alan Grimshaw (bass) after which they wrote the Coleman Song to try to break into the jingle-writing market (with no success). After a short tour in Canada in the summer of 1969 Danny left the group. The band officially dissolved with its last dance on May 30, 1970 in Oak City, Utah.
