A.k.a. The Broadway Clique The Viscounts (9)
Rock group from Kansas City. The group The Broadway Clique was created in the mid-60s by Dave McQuitty, after expanding his group The Viscounts (9) to include a horn section. The Broadway Clique existed through the 1970s and 1980s, at which point the band name was shortened to The Clique (14). The Clique released their full-length self-titled album in 1983 and it featured a decidedly 1980s new wave sound. None of the original Broadway Clique members were still in the band, but Dave McQuitty continued to handle management and production of the group. To this day, The Clique still play sporadic shows throughout the Kansas City area playing primarily 1980s and 1990s rock cover songs.
