Mid-80's garage-psych revival band from Rugby, closely associated with Spacemen 3. Originally known as The High Spirits, the initial line-up was Gavin Wissen (guitar), Darren Wissen (guitar), Tim Morris (drums) and Antony Rogers (bass). Darren Wissen was replaced with Sean Cook (Spiritualized, Lupine Howl, The Flies) (Harmonica and Keyboard.) Kev Cowans (Guitar) of The Dark Side joined making a five piece (later rejoining the rearranged The Darkside). Rogers and Cook left the band to attend University and future Spacemen 3 bassist Will Carruthers joined. The band is best known for playing many double bills with Spacemen 3 at the Reverberation Club at the Blitz pub in Rugby circa 1986. Their set included covers of 'Gloria' and 'Louie Louie'. Other known numbers include 'Troubles', 'Cry Girl' and 'Before It's Too Late'.
