Not to be confused with The Darnells on the Gordy label. This band began in Milwaukee WI as Denny & The Darnells in 1959. The first line up to record for the Cuca label included: Denny King - lead guitarist Tom Fabre - tenor saxophonist Gary Lane - vocals Bruce Wells - piano Norm Sherian - rhythm guitar Jerry Sworske - drums After the Kingsmen released 'Mojo Workout' on their In Person LP the renewed interest in the band saw them reforming to record and release the song in 1964 on Tide Records along with members of another Milwaukee band, The Skunks under the name Tommy Hahn And The Mojo Men.
