Don Thompson's Jazz Project, After Four, was a recorded performance on 1 inch tape on a 16 track analog machine at Don's Studio 56 Langley, there were no multiple takes. The core ensemble on After Four consists of award winning musicians who have recorded and or performed with some of world’s best known artists. Jerry Adolphe (drums) - Chilliwack, Jim Byrnes, Doc Fingers, and many of Vancouver’s R&B’s best, Miles Black (keys and bass) - Skywalk, Mark Murphy, Lee Konitz, Slide Hampton, George Coleman, Scott Hamilton, Sheila Jordan, Chuck Israels, and Paul Horn, Miles Hill (acoustic bass) - Van Morrison, Michael Bublé, and Chad Kroeger of Nickelback, Tom Keenlyside (sax and flute) - Skywalk, Natalie Cole, Dizzy Gillespie, Mel Tormé, Diana Krall, Chaka Khan, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Dionne Warwick. Paul Anka, Bruce Hornsby, Robbie Steininger (guitar) - Patricia Conroy, Lisa Brokop, Valdy, Rita MacNeil, Sue Medley, and Megan Metcalfe, Rene Worst (acoustic & electric bass) - Skywalk, Al Stewart, David Bowie, Aerosmith, Paul Horn, Sheena Easton, and Freddie Hubbard.
