Irish pop rock band founded in 1960 and leaded by Joe Dolan and his brother Ben Dolan. The original lineup also included Charlie McMorrow (keyboards/sax), Jimmy Horan (bass), Sean Connolly (trumpet) Eddie Deehy (drums) During the time the band suffered some name changes : The Driffters, Drifters Showband, Joe Dolan and The Drifters, Drifters, Joe Dolan & the "New" Drifters Joe Dolan & The Drifters The New Drifters Also there was several changes of band components : Frankie McDonald (trumpet), Gordon Coleman (guitar), Maurice Walsh (drums), Kieran Mc Donnell (keyboards), Seamus Shannon (trombone), Patrick Hoye (bass) In 2008, Ben Dolan came back on the road with Joe's Band playing live to a video of Joe singing.
