Founded by drummer Maximilien Maire (Demon Vendetta, Mighty Bombs and The Last Brigade), gathering members from different corners of the French alternative rock scene: A diverse group, united through their love of 60’s pop culture and 70’s imagery. The Dustburds explore the dusty attic of soul music, incorporating lounge, garage, psychedelic and cinematic influences; the dancing backbeat is always the locomotive. The authentic results are a hit, even with the most devout soul fan. Their set list features forgotten legends of the genre soul, R&B, cinematic funk of the 60’s and 70’s (Willie Mitchell, Erma Franklin, Joe Bataan, Sandy Nelson, etc.) and some instrumental-only groove themes and atmospheres (spyploitation, sexploitation, teen movies, etc.). The Dustburds’ first music video «That driving beat» available online end of December 2017. First album «Summer Pleasures» will be released in January 2018, 12 titles including six explosive soul tracks and six instrumental themes. For lovers of bikini party, cinepop and Gin cocktails with olive.
