Originally, The ERNIE 4 was the joint effort of discrete mathematics/cycling enthusiast Walter Lapchynski (Brownian Motion) and notorious hi-bias tape whore/cassingle thief Jon 7 (President Blair). Now it is a recovering quartet with the addition of DOS tracker hacker Isaac Boatright (The Cheshire Dragon). Together the sound they create is a patchwork of found sounds and digital noise, with a focus on the use of open source software and obsolete physical recording formats.
