Saxophonist Stefan Wistrand formed The Electric MZ in spring 2013 in order to explore new, more rhythm oriented, compositions. A music that draws its inspiration from rock, funk, jazz and more, and resulting in a brew, that has both an emotional depth and a solid danceable groove. The musicians in the band have experiences from bands like Memento Mori, Yvonne, Lolita Pop, Nods Off, Funky Friends, Broder Daniel, The Domus, Per-Henrik Wallin, Two Sounds Ensemble, Fundamental Form, to name but a few. The Electric MZ’s debut album "Silent in the Murmur" came out in 2015 and the sequel "Eternity & A Day" will be released in spring 2018. Current band members: Stefan Wistrand, saxophones & bass clarinet, David Lindh, guitar, Johannes Rytzler, keyboards, Mattias Green, bass & flugelhorn, Peter Olsen, drums, Johan Carlsson, drums & percussion.
