Band,
R&B/Soul and Pop
Formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota in the early 1970s. The Explodo Boys played a wide range of music, but was rooted in a soulful sound. With as many as nine performers on stage at a time, the band had a big sound which was especially impressive in the many smaller venues they played throughout the 1970s. The band re-formed and played as recently as 2011, and many of its original and founder members are still active.
