Album US 1976 on F&W Records label
Country (Country)
There are really fine notes on the cover of this record, which is appropriate because there is some really fine music on the record. At the beginning the band says: "This is a record of real Yankee square dance music. We are eight musicians who play for dances in the Boston area, and we have arranged and played these tunes as we would at a dance. every cut can be used for dancing and calling squares; several can be used for contras. Most were arranged with specific figures in mind, but you should have no trouble adapting your own favorite dances to our music. We've helped you by listing the number of measures in each tune."
