A portion of proceeds (you choose how much) goes to the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation. 2001 - The Flashbulb - I Am a Dead Sea (Unreleased, Metatone) Underneath the excitement of being a touring musician, my step-grandfather, who raised me and played the role of my closest relationship and safety net, was terminally ill with cancer. I handled things very responsibly and formally, but looking back, I was coming apart at the seams. This made my music a lot less “fun” and a lot more serious, I think. It also started the tradition of me not releasing some material because it feels too personal, which was the case with this short album.
