The Grey Imprint started as a salt and pepper band Dayton, Ohio 1968-72. Most of the musicians had been in other local bands. They recorded a 45 that has a strong civil rights message, backed with an instrumental. In 1970, Sonny Flaharty joined the band as the front man. They recorded a couple more 45s for Counterpart, including a remake of Sonny's 1967 hit "Hey Conductor" Guitarist Clay Yarber was killed in the Feb 2009 Buffalo plane crash.
