The Happy Chipmunks were an attempt by a company in Rahway, NJ to cash in on the renewed interest in The Chipmunks in the 1980s. Following a lawsuit by Ross Bagdasarian, Jr. over use of the word "Chipmunks" in their name, the group was renamed The Happy Hamsters.
