World (Highlife)
The Band's first disc "Wiase Afefede" recorded in early 1960 topped the records chart and brought new life into the highlife tunes of that time. The Band which has passed through turbulent times over the past five years or so is now back to the musical scene with the re-introduction of the Osibi beat and christian songs. Now under the leader-ship of ageless Paa Love Nortey and managed by Messers Bediako of Bediako Bros. Ltd., T.A. Aikins and Denchie-Awere, alias Ride Away, the reguvenated Professional Happy Stars Band means business to hire up to the name which once made it impregnable in the field of music. A testimony of this has been the production of this second L/P Osibi in addition to the first one HONHOM KRONKRON with in a period of four months. On this L/P tunes like MMOBROWA, AGYANKABA, NOAH and BE SO ME NSA can be heard in a distinctive Osibi tune. Having listened to them rehearse before going to the studio, I can unmistakably say that the Professional Happy Stars Band has come out well with the Osibi at reminiscent of the past, to satisfy the insatiable appetite of music lovers.
