Back Cover: " The Highway QC's were organized in 1945 under the management of Mr. Charles Copeland, who saw a sparkling future for the young fellows. The group at that time consisted of Sam Cooke, Charles Richards, Creadell Copeland, Morris Lewis and Lee Richards. Since that time there has been a tremendous change and the present group consists of Spencer Taylor - lead and manager, Ray Crume - tenor and assistant manager, James Walker - bass and Sgt. at Arms, Chris Flowers - baritone and secretary, and Arthur Crome - guitarist and treasurer. The Highway QC's from children were members of the Highway Baptist Church, and also students of a well known school on the south side of Chicago with the initials Q.C. From this they adopted the name Highway QC's. Listening to the Highway QC's is an experience difficult to describe. As they pour out all of the spirituality rooted in their hearts, they virtually lift your spirits and conduct you on an inspired tour along a majestic road to comfort and peace. These are gospel artists dedicated to the deepest meanings of the music which they interpret unlike any other gospel balladeers. They have carried their own brand of inspiration to the far corners of the earth and have given new dimensions to the spiritual realm of musicology.
