Rock and Pop
The Hooblers is an Ottawa, Canada based straight forward rock band. Unlike most of the music on the market, The Hooblers sound is a burst of fresh air. Their music is a well-balanced combination of straight-forward crunchy rock with none of the depressing or angry elements found in songs by most contemporary music makers on the market. Im simpler terms, The Hooblers is a bit of an old school rock outfit - in the mold of Neil Young and Led Zeppelin - with just enough of a modern, raw edge to make the album enjoyable throughout. Grier's vocals are reminiscent of a Rockin' In The Free World-Neil Young while Eric Willison shows that guitar heroism can be adapted to a modern alternative sound. The songs of Mike Grier provide a solid base for lead guitarist Willison, bassist Mike Thompson and drummer Jason Curran to jam over.
