American folk rock band from Detroit, Michigan active in the mid-late 2000s. To avoid confusion with another band of the same name, The Hosts have since changed their name to The Sugar Clouds. The band was led by songwriter Greg Host and his ex-wife and sometimes writing partner Melissa Host, Band members included Jim Faulkner (The Volebeats, Goober and the Peas, The Blueflowers, The Beggars, et.al.),Arthur Hwang, Domingo Corpus, Brandt Peterson (Elliott Smith's Heatmiser), Alex Szegedy (The People's Temple), Paul Einhaus (The Happy Accidents), Jimmy Fox and Todd Breadon (Thumbs Up Velvet Underground Ukulele Duo).
