Band, 1965-1966 GB, Kingston upon Hull
Rock and Pop
Named after the city from which they hailed (Hull, England), the Hullaballoos formed in 1965 and had a brief career in which they enjoyed greater success in the U.S. than in their native homeland. The band was produced by Hugo & Luigi and appeared on U.S. television, most notably, "Hullabaloo". Their long hair, dyed blonde, provided visual impact in the States as part of the first wave of the British Invasion. Mick Wayne replaced Ricky Knight on lead vocals before the group eventually disbanded due to management problems in 1966. Members: Harold Dunn, Ricky Knight, Geoffrey Mortimer, Mick Wayne, Andrew Wooten
