The Hyacinth Girls

UK Indie Rock, Mod band they came from Medway suburb Wouldham, Kent. Taking their name from T.S. Eliot's modernist poem "The Waste Land", The Hyacinth Girls were part in the Medway scene of the late 1980s and early 1990s (a scene which also consisted of The Dentists and The Claim). The Hyacinth Girls were Andrew C. Webber on guitar/vocals, Paul Chamberlain on bass, his brother Pete Chamberlain on drums and Rob Best on keyboard/trumpeter/vocalist. The band released two albums "Happy Now?" on Red Records (12) in 1989 and "Old Men Ought to Be Explorers" on their own record label Instant Music (2) in 1992.
