First in a planned series of split releases between The Infant Cycle and other artists from Ontario, Canada. Originally intended to be a 7" single, as noted by the artwork which features the planned label designs for the record. Limited to 80 copies. The Infant Cycle: carved vinyl record playout groove, percussion, poly-800, electric guitar. Unrelated Work Tapes are a rethinking back to the sources, and projections outwards of releases past, future, and non-existent. Jared Davison: Recorded between December, 2004 and April, 2005. This compilation exclusively uses surface noise from record albums as sound sources. Like some of my previous work, it is a reflection of an interest in using narrowly defined parameters in composition; exploiting and exhausting the potentialities inherent in seemingly limited sounds.
