voc, IE
Singer of Folk
The Irish Festival Singers were very active during the mid-1950s Irish folk vocal-music boom. Their repertoire included Gaelic, Irish, and English standards. They toured internationally and received much media coverage and accolades. They recorded for Angel, then wavered over different labels before fading from the mainstream in the 1960s. Some members went on to careers in classical, pop, folk, and Irish music.
