Album UK 1969 on Saggitarius Ltd. label
Rock (Blues Rock, Psychedelic Rock, Classic Rock)
Back of sleeve reads: "This music was recorded on November 28, 1968 (Thanksgiving Eve) at Philharmonic Hall's early show. Also on the bill were Ferdenando Valenti, Master Harpsichordist, and the New York brass quintet-"A Thanksgiving Experience". In retrospect, it was a unique concert. Hendrix's birth the day before, the bizarre bill for the show, and holiday season hype must have added to the magic of his performance that evening. It was the original experience (Noel Redding on bass and Mitch Mitchell on drums). Close listening will reveal Jimi's inspired musical attitude, indicative of that period. There are rare moments! Also can be found on this disc: one of a handful of U.S. Television appearances. The Tonite Show along with a slightly-too-talkative guest host, malfunctioning amplifier, and Billy Cox's audition."
