The Jimi Hendrix Experience
Marshall Pepper's Band

Album UK on Nowhere Man Records label
Pop

On th 28 th of June 1967, the Jimi Hendrix Experience appeared at the Savile Theatre in London which at the time was owned by Brian Epstein. However prior to this, legend has it that only one day after The Beatles released Sergeant Pepper, Hendrix appeared on stage and played the title track apparently having learnt the song overnight. It is a matter of record that Jimi did indeed play the song at the Christmas on Earth Concert Dec '67. George and Paul were in the audience and the song was allegedly organized back stage just before the gig . He also played it in January 1968 in Stockholm..but after all this time, who can say which was first ? What is known , however, is that a certain Mister Clapton and a certain Mister Townshend were so in awe of Jimis ability that they seriously considerd "retiring". Other Beatles songs that Jimi played, included Day Tripper, Here Comes The Sun and, perhaps, most surprisingly of all Tomorrow Never Knows. So in the words of Mister Leary from those Halcyon days, Tune In, Turn On (but only the CD player) and Drop Out (of the serious things in Life for a while). The Dirty Mac sessions have already appeared on an earlier Album, but are included here for the sake of completeness. It's not a rip off, 'cos the Album is stone free.
