Band,
Rock and Pop
Danish 60's popgroup formed by Jørgen Olsen and Niels "Noller" Olsen, later to become famous as Olsen Brothers, and the brothers Niels Thybo and Morten Thybo, both later to become jazz pianists. Naming the group The Kids wasn't faking it, as the members were 15, 11, 9 and 10 years old at the time of their 1965 debut. The same year they warmed up for The Kinks at their Copenhagen concert. In 1968, 18 years old at the time, Jørgen Olsen penned the groups biggest hit, "Plastic Phantastic", a quite sophisticated pop song much alike the "Sgt Pepper" Beatles songs. He would later write the 2000 European song contest winner. The Kids disbanded in 1970 when the Olsen brothers became joined the danish "Hair" musical cast.
