Single AR 1969 on Parlophone label
Rock (Beat, Garage Rock, Psychedelic Rock)
(p) 1969 Distributed by EMI Taken from one of the rarest and obscure artifacts to come out from the underground Rioplatense scene ever. The Knacks managed to release only four singles between 1967 and 1970, of which only one was known in picture sleeve (EMI-Parlophone, #1163). However, I found a copy with PS of a previous single some years ago (showed on the video), which is actually their first 45, and to my knowledge, no other copies have been reported with picture sleeve until now (EMI-Parlophone, #1136). The Knacks have remained largely unknown, except for some recent reissues, and are considered the cream of the crop from this region lately. This is a superb tune, w/ nice organ arrangements, great vocal harmonies, and lyrics in English.
