Knightowl (Ramon Corona) is an American Chicano Rap artist that has recorded since 1993. He got his nickname "Knightowl" from local friends growing up, for the reason that he would only be seen in the night and rarely during the day. He got his fame when he recorded the hit single "Daddy Im in love with a gangsta " which had a mix for the streets and a mix for the radio. The song proved to be a hit, as it instantly became a staple of the West Coast gangsta rap scene, while Knightowl became the first gangster rapper ever to make a song about love. With this success came big labels knocking at his door.
