The Knives

Band,
Rock

Years active 2004 ~ 2011 Heavy-hitting Los Angeles rock quartet the Knives blend the crushing attack of bands like Black Sabbath and early Mötley Crüe with the modern sensibilities of Queens of the Stone Age. The hard-working collective, consisting of lead vocalist Le'Von, guitarist Brane, bass player Scott, and drummer Jonny U, released a self-titled EP in 2004 before signing with Criterion Records the following year to record their blistering follow-up EP, Skin Flicks. After touring with CKY on the Rock Adio tour, the group picked up bassist Kyle Kensrue, and released their third album, Filthy Angel, on October 30, 2007. ~ James Christopher Monger
