Doo-wop group from Newport News, Virginia. Members and their roles: Harry Burton (First tenor), Edward "Snipper" Alston (Second tenor), Charles Simpson (Bass), Nelson Shields (Second Tenor), Ronald Judge (Baritone). The last two, later joined the The Corvairs (2). Initially, they were called The Pokenoes and The Five Swans. After they won in a local contest, they rewarded with a trip to the Apollo Thetare in New York. After their 4-week performances there, they were signed at Glory.
