The Leaders Trio was a side project of a jazz supergroup The Leaders (3), and featured the ensemble's rhythm section: Kirk Lightsey on piano and flute, Cecil McBee on bass, and Famoudou Don Moye on drums and percussion. The trio released one album on Sunnyside label in 1989.
