Album AU 2006 on Radioland Recordings label
Spoken Word (Experimental)
This short-lived ensemble performed a few sporadic live-to-air sessions on the midnight-to-dawn shift at Sydney Radio Station 2MBS-fm. From the studio of tangled tapes full of cut-ups, loops, and improvising fingers, emerged The Loop Quartet. (with R.Fielding, J.Blades, J.Leonarder and R.Brown) Fielding and Blades went on to develop a much larger contingent The Loop Orchestra, Leonarder eventually paraded the Mu-Mesons, and Brown, under the name Artpoetry executed his historic piece, '‘The Turntable Incident'’, the earliest known example of turntablism recorded live-to-air in Australia. Also included are other live pieces aired on 2MBS by members of the ever productive Midnight-to-Dawn Collective. Description = Gone Loopy
