When Tony Johnson left the group he teamed up with Tyrone Pickens to record as the duo Tony & Tyrone Members: Gerald Mathis (lead singer), Bobby Peterson (the same singer who was in the Magnetics on Allrite), Elijah Davis, Ernest Newsome & William 'Pete' Crawford) This group was in fact The Volumes who were at the time in between contracts.
