Philpotts & Carlton Lee Featuring : Jackie Jackson, Bass / Hux Brown, Rad Bryan, Guitars / Winston Wright, Organ / Gladstone Anderson, Piano / Winston Grennan, Drums / Denzil Laing, Percussion Two original albums (The Sensational Maytals / Slatyam Stoot) by the group which first used the word "reggae" on record , (i.e. "Do The Reggae"), Toots and the Maytals (Frederik Hibbert, Nathaniel Mathias and Henry Gordon) need no introduction. Included are the two versions of the touching R'nB lament "Daddy" and ska hits like "Fever" and "My New Name". Skipping to early roots reggae, songs like "Redemption Song" and "It Was Written Down" became anthems.
