Sydney band, The Mint,active from1969 and into the early 1970s. Michael Dalton - vocals and guitar Christine Dalton - harmony vocals, organ David Dalton - lead and harmony vocals, bass Eddie Dalton - harmony vocals, drums ‘Stephen Dalton’ – vocals and guitar Christine Dalton was Michael’s wife, born Christine Martin. David and Eddie were Michael’s brothers. Stephen was not a Dalton at all, but Stephen Powell who, after leaving the band in the early 70s, went on to record the classic ‘Celestial Madness’ album on Alberts, as S. J. C. Powell. Powell was replaced in the band by one ‘Simon Dalton’ .The all-Daltons idea came from the band’s manager at the time, one Sid McDo nagh.
