A.k.a. The Mellow Drops The Moonbeems The Senors
American R&B band, from New Orleans, Louisiana. Formed around 1952, calling themselves the Mellow Drops, and changing their name to The Monitors in 1955. They released singles through the 1950's on on the Aladdin and Specialty labels. No luck with a national hit, though well received in New Orleans, they disbanded officially in 1964.
