This digital recording was made in the purest form possible. The recording chain consisted of a pair of Neumann figure-of-eight microphones directly coupled to a Sony PCM recording system. Filtering, equalisation, compression and editing have been avoided in order to maintain an exact reproduction of the original sound and performance.
