This 2CD compilation album is presented in a 6 panel digipak including a 12 page booklet. It contains all the singles of Nits from the period 1977-1987 in chronological order of the release dates. The songs presented here are the correct versions as previously released on the original 7” vinyl singles A & B-sides. The first two singles by Nits, “Yes Or No” and “Looking For A Friend” with their accompanying B-sides are now released together for the first time on CD. Also the single version of A-side “The Young Reporter”, B-sides “Her Second Zebra”, “Tables And Chairs (Long Version)”, “Mask (Live)”, “Her Second Office”, “Cabins (Live Version)” are now also released for the first time on CD. Unfortunately the master tapes of the following 6 songs are lost: - Both versions of the debut single “Yes Or No” with its B-side “Ronald Razorblade” - The second single “Looking For A Friend” with its B-side “Tell Me Baby” - Presumably lost is the single A-side “The Young Reporter” For that reason vinyl rips of these songs are included on this compilation, mastered just like all the other tracks by Arjan Rietvink Productions. Note: both versions of the single "Yes Or No" share the same B-side "Ronald Razorblade". Days This compilation is compiled by Sony Music Entertainment Netherlands with the assistence of Nits aficionados Evert Jan Willigenburg and Mike de Wit. Also Nits and Universal Music were involved in the realisation of this compilation. The credits in the booklet (see images) show: “Special thanks to Evert Jan Willigenburg and Mike de Wit for all their help with the tracklisting and finding the correct single versions of the tracks on this CD.” Evert Jan communicated with Sony and checked all the mastered audio, data and artwork of this release in association with Mike who also made and provided 5 out of 6 vinyl rips as mentioned above. The booklet contains a biography written in Dutch by music journalist Robert Haagsma. Also included is a chart list with hit singles from Nederlandse Top 40, a detailed tracklist and finally some credits. The band photography in the booklet and digipak is from the Sony Music photo archive. All songs published by Nitsongs.
