Album US 1975 on NTSU Jazz label
Jazz (Big Band, Jazz-Funk)
MEMORANDUM - Lab Band Office Summer, 1975 Let it be known that in this year of 1975 at North Texas State University the lab band personnel started using the term "LIZARD" to indicate a bad solo, a bad or weak performer, a bad chart, etc. Also used were the terms "LIZARDO" and "REPTILLIAN" to indicate REALLY bad ones! THIS, THEN, IS A ONE-LIZARD ALBUM! The ONLY "lizard" on this album is on the cover - inside you find NONE! The level of writing and performance is such that this may well be THE BEST JAZZ ALBUM OF 1975; if not, it will EQUAL any that is voted "the best!" Listen - see if you don't agree! Leon Breeden The Selections were determined by a vote of the entire band.
