The Paranas

Back in 1959 it formed the Trio Paraná, founded by Reinaldo Gómez (guitar, vocals), Aníbal J. Núñez (bass, backing vocals) and Nino Palacios (requinto guitar, backing vocals and arranger). In 1967, they get a contract to travel to the US, thanks to Mr. Mauricio Paiz, an American sergeant who at the time was stationed at the US Army In Paraguay. On that trip, the "`Trio Paraná" has the invaluable contribution of the great harpist musical Luis Bordón. The "Trio Paraná" becomes "The Paranas" and begin a cycle of presentations of success in all major stages of all the states of the American union. Lorenzo Gonzalez (arpa), replaced Luis Bordón and remained with the group for 11 years until 1980, again replaced by Juancito Cabrera, who keeps with The Paranas until 1990, when by common agreement, decided to dissolve the group. The Paranas becomes the pioneers of Paraguayan and South American music in the US Notably was the first South American band that is present in the Vegas dream place for any group engaged in music and entertainment. The show "The Paranas" quickly became the main attraction in any scenario of very important places for its diversity, talent and versatility. Vocal arrangements were in different languages ​​and exchanged a number of different musical instruments from many countries.
