ROLLIN' DOWN THE LINE is a sought-after title of Americana-alt-rock in the style of John Fogerty, Tom Petty, and Neil Young. Based in the Scranton/Wllkes-Barre region of Pennsylvania, The Pick-Ups have been performing since the early 90s. Aside from demos and limited release recordings produced by (legendary disc jockey) George Graham, ROLLIN' DOWN THE LINE remains the only major production to be released by The Pick-Ups. It was mixed by Grammy-winning engineer Rusty Richards (Brian Wilson, Michelle Shocked, Julie Miller) and produced by Johnny J. Blair (Davy Jones, Monkees). The Pick-Ups are led by singer-songwriter Don Shappelle, who continues to front the band (with shifting line-ups). Shappelle, an avid environmentalist, had prior experience performing and recording with The Hudson River Sloop Singers, a project associated with legendary folk singer Pete Seeger.
