Mike GZ a.k.a The Preacher a.k.a Ángel Ruizar, with real name Miguel Ángel Gómez Ruiz-Aragón, born in 1980 in Manzanares (Ciudad Real, Spain). He graduated in Industrial Engineering by University of Castilla - La Mancha (Spain), graduated in Electrical Engineering by University of León (Spain) and Master in Health and Safety by Francisco de Vitoria University of Madrid (Spain). His first contact with electronic music dates back to the early 90's, with the most commercial of the moment. It was really the end of this decade, when through some fellow university known underground electronic sounds, especially techno music. From this point became interested artists, and ways of cutting underground electronic music as varied: Aphex Twin, Orbital, Leftfield, Kraftwerk, Underworld, HD Substance, Cristian Varela, Ángel Molina or Óscar Mulero, among others. In late 1999 and early 2000 discovered incidentally “Zona 3”, on Radio 3 (RNE), musical radio program dedicated to electronic music, which was broadcast from Madrid for the whole country, and much of the globe via satellite, presented and directed by radio host Sonia Maria Briz. After listening to this radio show sessions both national and international artists such as Mónika Osmo, Julian Liberator, Dylan Drazen, among others, as well as "trapped" by the magical voice of the presenter, Sonia Briz, is faithful follower of “Zona 3”. Through Sonia and her program, knows the true and genuine movement of the more underground electronic music culture, led for the most important electronic music form: Techno. Little by little, he also familiar with other forms of electronic music, as well as learning great musical knowledge thanks to this radio show. At the end of 2003 made a DJ's course organized by the Local Council of Youth of his hometown, Manzanares in the Youth House Township. In this course he learn all the basics in the work of a DJ, technical and musical level. Motivated by the realization of the course is purchased his first turntables and started to enter the world of "dj-mixing", then sending the result of this learning sessions to Sonia Briz, for analysis and it broadcast on Zone 3 (Radio 3 - RNE). In the summer of 2004 created with a group of friends the collective-association "Electronic Sound", with which organizes local activities: courses DJ's, parties Techno without alcohol as well as the radio show of the same name, "Electronic Sound Radio" on the local radio station (missing in 2012) "Onda Mancha Manzanares", which is tuned on 107.7 FM, and could be heard on-line on the network, on the municipal website www.manzanares.es, on Thursdays and Saturdays (re-broadcast of the program of Thursday) from 19:00 h till 20:00 h. In the last stage, the program was presented and directed for Mike GZ. Mike GZ has represented the collective-association "Electronic Sound" in various competitions of DJ's, made at both national and provincial levels, also participating in national and international competitions level, such as those organized by the creators of the site specialized in Techno music www.offtechno.com, or those organized by César Almena and Nuke as directors and presenters of radio show dedicated to electronic music: Techno Culture. In the mix, Mike GZ opts for the harder sound of techno, selecting tracks by artists such as Michael Burkat, Lars Klein, Robert Natus, Glenn Wilson, Patrik Skoog, Slobodan, Dylan Drazen, Chris Liebing, André Walter, Space Djz, Óscar Mulero, Exium, Reeko, Christian Wünsch, Pacou, Joton, Ritzi Lee, David Meiser, Structural Form or Bas Mooy, among others. His sets are full of classic techno, betting on vinyl format for his sets. As a producer uses the pseudonym "The Preacher", taking several years experience with hardware and diverse electronic music software, to get your own sound, characterized by a strong, sharp Techno, heavily influenced by its producers mentioned reference. From May 2010, he is part of Deep & Beat Collective with artists such as Miguel Pérez, Álex González (Renate), José Antonio Layos and french artist DJ Feder; collective that aim to make numerous musical projects within the scene electronic music in Castilla - La Mancha and beyond its borders, which are still embryonic and waiting to be unveiled. From the turning point that led to Mike GZ to be part of this collective of artists, like Ángel Ruizar also devotes artistic a plot to sounds less "hard" such as Minimal Tech, Tech House, Electro and Techno also of current sounds, including different forms of more classical Techno, giving free rein to his artistic concerns within the broad spectrum of the electronic universe, exploring all kinds of sounds that have allowed increase your musical knowledge, and that in the end will also influence which based its evolution as a music producer. In June 2012 he published his first release as a Techno producer: Ohm's Law EP, edited and released by Italian label Superdrive Records, constituting the reference number 21 of the label, with whom he started a collaboration from that release, and in which expected to continue to publish his work in the future. After publishing three references on the Italian label (Superdrive Records) between 2012 and 2013, as well as collaborating with some remixes for Madrid artist Structural Form in 2014, for labels like Dark Garden Recordings (Spain), K-84 Records (Chile) and Armed Records (Argentina), he created in June of that same year 2014 his own label, The Preacher Records, which serves as a platform to publicize his most personal work without ties of any kind, in which he published three references from June to October (Project EP, La Dama del Techno EP and TPTB EP). In early 2015 published on his label two special releases (THPRSR001 and THPRSR002) and their debut album in September of the same year, "Civilización". From 2013 he is also claimed for radio and podcasts at national and international level, spreading his vision as a DJ on platforms like Minimized Music (Sevilla), Novaclub (Albacete), Vicious Radio (Redsonja Radio Show, Madrid), Podcast Series (led by Álex García and Carlos Maestro, Ciudad Real), Fnoob Techno Radio (UK), In Progress Radio (The Netherlands), T.E.S. Radio (UK), its own podcast series, The Preacher Techno Podcasts, or his latest collaborations with the series of podcasts by Madrid labels Black Stars Corporation (directed by Óscar López Beat and Reloadams) and Violation (podcasts series by the owner of Hardtools Records, UK Executes and Basic Form Group, José Chacón aka Dr. Cyanide aka Flat Area). In the summer of 2015 began to publish works for Hardtools Records (Spain) and Black Stars Corporation (Spain), debuting with The Matrix EP (HT013) in the first, and the track "Origins" in the second within a VV/AA (BSC.050). Edits a second EP in November the same year on Hardtools Records (EVP EP, HT018B), ending the year with a new collaboration with Dark Garden Recordings label, run by spanish artist David Noir aka Snap-9A, contributing a track to the VV/AA commemorating the 4th anniversary of the netlabel. In 2016 he expects to continue publishing works on Hardtools Records and Black Stars Corporation, and its debut in Madrid's new label, Automatized Process Records, run by his friend Fran González aka Franz Gonzo; as well as it continues to publish his most personal and special works for his label, The Preacher Records. It will also continue to make its vision as a DJ in the scene of electronic music and techno in particular, with their dynamism that always has characterized his sets, and chosing vinyl as main format, and the digital format to promote their own work and those who are in this format, and to consider appropriate to offer and display at its sessions.
