The Prime Movers

US blues band started in the summer of 1965 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, by Michael and Dan Erlewine, along with some friends. Michael played harmonica and was the lead singer, Dan Erlewine played lead guitar, Robert Sheff ("Blue" Gene Tyranny, today) played keyboards, Jack Dawson played bass (later in The Siegel-Schwall Band), and James Osterberg alias Iggy Pop played drums. The band was active from 1965 until 1971.
