ORIGINALLY RECORDED in 2001. Released in 2012. Limited to 100 copies. Comes in a plain white record sleeve with a front info card and postcard insert. Mine had a PhonoSelect hype sticker too. Front Info Card reads: THE READYMADES "I'm A Man, I'm A Flower" LP 33.3 rpm, limited to 100 copies, mtn-09 13 tracks of blown-out, lo-fi garage punk blast that walks a tight-rope between intentional organized chaos and a car careening off a bridge. Recorded over a decade ago in the legendary Loft space by Chris Woodhouse (Mayyors, Karate Party), this record got shelved as the band impoded and members went on to more stable projects - Rich Haley forming the Duchess Of Saigon (S-S Records) and Charles Albright forming and unforming a million projects since then, including his highly regarded recent solo output (S-S Records, Permanent Records), Greg Ginn joins the early Kings and borrows Henry's Dress' equipment to do covers off the first Redd Dross record. Howling cave-stomp punk with film of chattering white noise and the best of the Woodhouse treatment. Get yourself a hat and hold on to it. Inside postcard says, in part: Recorded by Chris Wooddhouse at The Loft on Chris Olsen's birthday in 2001. The PhonoSelect hype sticker reads: LIMITED EDITION OF 100 COPIES, Early 21st century Sacto Garage Punk Band extraordinaire who members went onto do time in Duchess of Saigon, The Pizzas, RAD, Frenchmen, Rock the Light, Shark and Nacho Business. Don't snooze this is a one-time deal, if don't buy it now, who knows when you'll get another chance.
