The Remayns were: Nick Haeffner: guitar Gary Hawkins: drums Steve Robinson (of the Fortunate Sons): bass Clive Pig: rhythm guitar Cally Callomon: vocals The Remayns were a figment of Cally Callomon's imagination, he rounded up some worthy chums to make a fantasy record of four of his favourite songs as they played one concert at The Saint Albans Civic and it seemed like a waste not to. They pressed up 500 coloured vinyl 7" singles and they all sold out. That's Cally Callomon (95 times) on the cover with his favourite cat Lurch, shot in the basement of 4 Liverpool Road, a house he bought off Phil Smee. He and Cally joint-owned the label Bam Caruso. They then went on to record a session for the BBC Andy Kershaw programme using members of Julian Cope's band, his brother and members of the far better and justifiably legendary Freight Train...
