The Rey-Tones is a garage rock / psychedelic rock band from Kansas City. It started as the writing and recording project of John Mitchell (24) & Bryan Koehler during the spring of 2013. The original name was The RayTones but was changed after a band already using that name contacted the group. Having just wrapped up a week long recording session in Nashville with producer Konrad Snyder, The Rey-Tones assembled a band to work on taking their music live. In March 2014, Austin Turney (bass), Drew Little (drums), & Jake Masters (guitar) joined Johnny and Bryan in The Rey-Tones. In June, David Bennett (7) (Akkilles) joined The Rey-Tones to fill the spot vacated by Johnny after his move to NYC, and then added Cortland Gibson on keys.
