American 1960s doo-wop group formed from The Sharps. Garage/surf rock band The Trashmen made their 1963 hit "Surfing Bird" by using two Rivingtons's songs: "Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow" (1962) and ""The Bird's The Word" (1963).
