Rock
THE ROYAL BLASPHEMY is created in early 2011 as a result of several past projects already combining the four members of the band: With the end of Urban Tales, the remaining band members turned the page to a new heavier journey crossing hard rock to heavy metal, with lyrical concepts of a portrait of the economical crisis and its origins and consequences in Portugal, in Europe, in the Western World. To fill the main vocalist spot, a very special guest joined forces. Joaquim Ventura aka Mr. V was the bands very special guest assuming the vocals for the on their first EP and the early live performances, being later on the spot taken by our bassist, Tiago Borges. The result couldn't be better. Six months writing and rehearsing new songs resulted on the debut album, recorded and mixed by Miguel Veg Marques at Generator Music Studios in Portugal, and be mastered soon by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden. The band is currently promoting the debut album performing all over Portugal, in bars, venues and festivals such as Optimus Alive 2012 Festival, sharing the stage with The Cure, Radiohead, Morcheeba, Danko Jones, Refused, Justice, LMFAO, Ill Niño, Xtortya, among others.
