The Scouts are a double denim supergroup of notable Melbourne band members featuring Sam Reiher and Ruby Cattell from the revered old timey gang Heel Toe Express with Brooke Penrose and Mick Stylianou of Saint Jude and Josh Curtis of The Death Rattles. They play a high-voltage flavour of rock ’n’ roll smattered with soul, surfer guitar licks, luscious pop melodies and a hint of that high lonesome country twang. You'll hear echoes of Big Star, Whiskeytown and Hoodoo Gurus, but at the core of each song is earnest, poignant and original writing from bandleader Sam Reiher.
