The Shotdowns were a band that Ben Weasel claimed to have discovered in the backwoods of Maine. In fact, the group was a one-off project Ben and Jughead of Screeching Weasel, along with Chicago Sun-Times music critic Jim DeRogatis, all playing under aliases. They released one 7" on Lookout! Records in 1996.
