Band, JM
Reggae
Jamaican group formed by Sidney Crooks's brother Derrick Crooks and George Agard with Winston Bailey and therefore linked to The Pioneers. Although well known for the song Johnny Too Bad, which featured in the Jimmy Cliff movie The Harder They Come, the group's history is obscure as one their earliest releases 'Nana' is rumoured to be the Pioneers recording as Johnny Melody & The Slickers and other artists may have used the same name. Johnny Too Bad appears to be credited to Roy Beckford and Derrick Crooks with Delroy Wilson's brother Trevor Wilson (3) sometimes replaced by Winston Bailey.
